Hi Team Tennessee!
We have been challenged by the other states to a fundraising challenge to bring in much needed donations. I have contacted the Barnes and Nobel book store in Franklin, TN (Cool Springs area) just south of Nashville, to get on their calendar to wrap presents. They provide the supplies and we supply the labor. The donations for wrapping would go to SSRR. They typically want the groups to volunteer for an early date to qualify for the more prosperous later (close to Christmas) dates. They prefer the groups take a whole day, but we can combine with another group if we can't cover the timing. We would like to have enough people to work 3 four hour shifts of 2 people for an early day in November or ealy December and one later in December (6 total people per day). This is great opportunity and should be fun. We really enjoyed meeting SSRR folks at the Mars Petcare Adoption Fair. So first - Who wants to volunteer? If you are willing to volunteer, please send me the days that are completely out for you. If we can respond quickly when the calendar comes out, we have a better chance of getting good days. Please send your response ASAP!!! Bill and I will be volunteering. We have to work during the week, so weekends are best for us, howevery I could take a day of vacation if I had to. Not sure Bill has enough vacation for week day activity unless right before. Currently I do not have any blacked out weekends. Let me know!! Looking forward to meeting you or seeing those we have already met again.
